The Burds Nest







The Burds Nest is a three bedroom detached house with a south facing kitchen and patio and can accommodate 5/6 adults (3 double rooms). The master bedroom is en-suite. There is also a separate bathroom and shower on the first floor.
The sitting room/kitchen is open plan with a Stanley stove and modern kitchen equipped to the highest standard. The kitchen is south facing and opens out to a private deck area with views of the sea.
Everything you need for your self catering holiday is included, all kitchen utensils, tea towels, bathroom towels will be provided, you will only need your beach towels and personal items. A children’s Playground is located 100 yards from the house together with a tennis court and full size football pitch and a barbeque area. The area is ideal for walking, cycling, horse riding, fishing or just for lazing about on the beach. The Hook Lighthouse is a favourite tourist attraction with guided tour available daily from 10am to 4pm.
There is real beauty in the Natural Scenery of the area, the shoreline, the numerous beaches and the Views across to the Saltee Islands, Hook Head and Slade Harbour.
During your stay you can visit the John F. Kennedy Park and Arboretum, The National Heritage Park, Tintern Abbey, Dunbrody Abbey, Duncannon Fort and Loftus Hall, all of which are only a short drive away.
An 18 Hole par 3 golf course has opened just outside Fethard-on-Sea village and courses are also available at New Ross, Waterford , Wexford and Rosslare. Waterford Castle and Faithlegg Golf clubs are easily accessed by the Car Ferry which is only 15 minutes away.
